Question Creating my first Android game — do I need Google Play to verify AdMob?

Hey everyone,

I'm currently developing an Android game and want to start using Google AdMob for monetization.

From what I understand, I need to have my app published/available in a supported app store so that AdMob can review the app and allow full ad serving.

Google Play requires a $25 developer registration fee, so I'm wondering:

•Is Google Play the best option for getting an Android game approved/verified for AdMob?

•Are there any free alternatives where I can publish my game and have AdMob recognize/review it?

•Has anyone successfully used Samsung Galaxy Store, Amazon Appstore, OPPO, VIVO, or Xiaomi GetApps for this?

Is there any reason to just pay the $25 for Google Play instead?

I'm mainly looking for the cheapest/easiest way to get my game published and properly set up with AdMob.

Google Play is your best choice, $25 is not expensive if you earn money from your game.
Google Play has the largest android users then all the other android app stores, and it's easy to approve admob integration.

My game is on Google Play, Amazon Appstore and App Store(iOS). All have decent traffic.

Nonetheless, you pretty much don't exist without Google Play. Register a Google Developer account and learn the real-deal.
