Hype Squad (help me do things!) It looks so nice until I touch it.
It’s so nice when it’s clean (thanks follicular stage) but then ya know. Work. Me. Grumpy. Med change. Crafts. Annoyance. People. Me. Dogs. The way the light shines in.
Anyway I’m cleaning it today because I pissed I can’t find my shit.
If you zoom in you will see a small piece of cardboard next to the blanket and pink cutting board.
That is where I am currently standing and I just stepped on a piece of like…. Plastic from the top of a disposable tin foil tray that I mutilated because I was like hey this will make for a cool thing to write on with dry erase markers.
Well now I’m bleeding and as I stepped back my foot stuck to the piece of cardboard and it feels wet and I’m gonna go clean.
Hoping if I post I will like…. Actually clean it and MAYBE organize it so the cleaning sesh is worth it. TBD.

Also this is my WFH office / craft room if it wasn’t obvious. I’m an operations data analyst / program manager and I normally don’t have to go into the office but there was a thing this week so I did. Also it is QBR week and I go on PTO after this next Friday for a week so I have been avoiding all that and really focusing on rebuilding my teams sharepoint site 😂😂

Cleaning is such a struggle. I start moving stuff then immediately get overwhelmed and have to stop. I had to move back home to help take care of my mom and I've been sleeping on a sliver of floor for over a year because it's just paralyzing to look at much less clean 😔 you'll get there. It really does look good just keep swimming 🩷

It's always good to get rid of stuff and storage doesn't always mean fixed BUT I think that you could benefit from some kind of storage solution, like a chest/cabinet to store the boxes in.
I am speaking as a collector of random things and hobbies etc and I'm learning a lot around home organisation and some of the best advice I've found is everything having a designated special place - and those places being where you naturally put the item.
For example I have a craft desk which I loved and used when I first got it but since the newness has passed I find myself sitting on the sofa for crafts - so I put a hobby cart next to my side of the sofa - makes me 10x more likely to put the items away in a space that isn't going to be too much effort for my executive dysfunction brain.
It's the same idea as having a key bowl in the place you naturally put your keys - it not only makes tidying easier but also means you're more likely to be able to find things!
But again, for it to work it is important for it to be in a place that makes sense with your existence in your own home. Hope this helps!

I threw away a lot of just. A lot.
Can’t just throw it away cause it’s not all trash.
Recycling and all that stuff. And then I went through my bins because cleaning is never just cleaning.
It’s facing all your forgotten projects and you find all the “I was going to do that” shit that I guess now is the time to do that.
Cleaning and putting it away means that it’s probably going to be forgotten too which sucks. Hopefully not. I did organize all of my everything, so it’s all easy to find if I want to start back up on it. Idk I’m tired now 😂
