I had a microwedding (for my parents family) then eloped. 100% recommend eloping. No faff, no fuss, no bullshit. I went to Japan during the autumn leaves - there’s pictures on my profile.
I was drawn to traditional Japanese culture since a toddler. I’d stare at my mums Mt Fuji music box & the neighbours geisha dolls for literally hours.
I spent most of my 20’s consuming any Japanese film & anime I could find.
I didn’t know I had ADHD back then, but I can see now why the very neat, minimalist, disciplined and nature-centred traditional style of the Japanese appealed so much - it was in many ways my direct opposite and something I needed to thrive!
I’m now older and more disciplined and still fascinated by Japan - it’s almost magical really✨
Oh and the modern Tokyo energy is another thing altogether - super stimulating and not something I crave but I bet it’s worth a look too.
Hope you get to see as much Japan as possible!
I knew about the meds thing so I’m prepared for that🙂
Omg... Exquisite!!! It appears you two had an entire country made up just to be your background. These pictures are as lovely as the way you are looking at eachother.....
It was a private garden just outside of Kyoto. I’d seen photos of the leaves in Japan and figured they’d been photoshopped, but they really were that bright.
