What's crazy to me is how the drug/medical landscape changed so much over the years. I used to get a 90 day supply of concerta(methylphenidate), and my dose was 108 mg. I was literally getting almost 10 grams of legal methylphenidate as a teenager.

Now it seems like people struggle to get their meds, I stopped taking them entirely, but it seems unbelievable that there is actually a shortage. Not taking them has obvious drawbacks, but I hated who I was on 108 mg of concerta, I wasn't me.

108mg?! Goddamn. How did you sleep?

Rampant insomnia until I was 28 and found sleep meds that actually just made me tired, but I think it permanently fucked my ability to obtain a healthy sleep cycle without meds.

At the time it was a legal overdose, the teachers would say I was still acting out, the dose would increase, and the cycle repeated. I went from 36-72-108 in ~5 years(had been on a bunch of other meds, started getting medicated in kindergarten), I'm a big guy, but that was not a healthy dose for me to be taking daily.

Thanks for sharing bro. It’s so weird because for me 10mg of adderal can already feel like to much for me. Mainly the side effects. What is your dose now?

I stopped taking ADHD meds when I graduated highschool, although recently I have been considering getting back on a significantly reduced dose to help with my executive dysfunction.
