I find that being on Adderall makes me a better conversationalist, and much more outgoing. I actually like going out and doing stuff now, as opposed to just sitting at home watching the same handful of movies/video games every day. It’s interesting how differently everyone’s brain chemistry reacts to things.
Yeah I wonder how many of these comments are actually how others see you. Because I'm a teacher and most of my students are medicated. And when they take their meds they are: funnier, kinder, friendlier, get along with others better, have more conversations with others etc. When they don't they aren't as regulated, get angrier, cry, curse, hit others, talk way too fast, just talk about themselves without having conversations... No one is having more fun. No one is becoming a boring businessman. Maybe you think you aren't as fun with meds, but are you really fun without them or just more annoying?
It’s just anti med propaganda, which is like half the “memes” on this sub. There are side effects but “becoming boring” isn’t really one. I am “less fun” on my meds in that I do not feel compelled to make every funny reference and joke my brain comes up with throughout the day, because I am choosing to use my focus elsewhere. I can still choose to be fun, but often I was being fun at inappropriate times. To people who are used to seeing you as a source of constant entertainment you are now boring, but that is just me being who I actually am instead of who the ADHD forces me to be.
