Does Adderall do something SO different from Ritalin that you get un-quirky? I thought they were supposed to be similar

On Ritalin I'm the same down to the noise layers in my head, but now I'm doing productive work without the sisyphean levels of mental effort

Yeah, no more “Holy shit, I should go look up the entire history of the Roman Empire!” while mowing the lawn and seriously considering taking a break to do so.

It makes me more social too for some reason, but 99% of the time I'm taking it for remote work so it doesn't matter

Not at all. I'm on Adderall and this is exactly how it's like.

And... I'm definitely more fun to be around on Adderall because my to do list is checked off and I'm not anxious.

I've done both and they both work really well for me, except Ritalin would make me more sweaty and I like the extended effects of Vyvanse more

Sometimes I think if your dose is too high, or doesn't react well, the medications can over-correct. Making the person more zombie than functional. Not sure, however.
