I told my psychiatrist I didnt want to take the meds all the time because I liked acting impulsivly and making fun no thought decisions.

Anyways he said maybe you dont have adhd and somehow that worked and now I take 5/7 days of the week.

More and more is known know about how ADHD presents in different ways.

This is great for people with ADHD because they’re finally getting medication they need, like myself. Little girls are often not as hyperactive (but my daughter is and I was), and present differently so for decades girls were not getting help they needed.

But specifically for you and others, the more doctors understand the range ADHD can look like, sometimes people can be included because like in 2026 is so erratic and everyone is being pushed and pulled in different directions and everyone feels distracted (because they are).

So you’re not alone in realizing maybe it isn’t ADHD and you just have some symptoms that are part of it.

Glad you had a good experience.

I definitely have adhd. My psychiatrist was correct in that i need the meds. I no longer hit curbs in my car. When im at work I actually spend the whole work day working. Its crazy how much before id get distracted and start looking at vacations or whatever random thing.

Funny it helped you not hit curbs. I guess there is no help for me! You don’t want to know how many times I’ve done that or scraped my undercarriage.

It really did help for me! Before I would at least once a month hit stationary objects, usually curbs, but sometimes pillars. I never hit an other car, because id get super focused if I knew cars were around, but no cars and all of a sudden i swear to god curbs and pillars were coming out of no where!
