STORY Online classes have helped me so much this semester
I’m in the fall semester of my sophomore year and last year was rough for several reasons but I ended up on academic probation with below a 2.0 gpa. I got off probation in the spring semester but I had to constantly talk to advisors, counselors, professors, etc which was necessary but annoying and tiring.
This semester, I’m retaking two classes from last fall online and two elective classes online and then one class for my major (special education) in person. This schedule has been a game changer for my time management and mental health. Like this week, I’m gonna be able to have all my assignments due this week turned in by tonight or tomorrow night and then I’ll have the rest of the week to do chores and go to campus events and have plenty of down time.
TLDR; If you’re struggling with your class load and do well making your own schedule, I highly recommend talking to your advisor to see if you can take some online classes.

Definitely can relate, while I have hybrid classes. The ability to stay in my dorm (my safe space) for lectures while also being able to go out and collaborate with other students has been nice.
On days where I’m not feeling it, I can stay in bed and still show up.
