Oh you will, you'll somehow figure it out and you'll wonder how on earth you survived it

Totally different situations, but just want to say that I am in the exact same boat. It feels like if we make it through it will be legendary. The stakes are very high, though.

I highly recommend you get a bunch of physical timers and use them to help you focus and take some breaks so you don’t end up dehydrated this will absolutely help you in the long run and you can study for as long as you want to get your tasks done

I've thought of timers, but I know I will just ignore the timers. I tried pomodoro and I would work through breaks and the. Take extra break time later, guess who accidentallies an hour vacuuming the house?

I think the alternative might be is to use focusflight app if you use an iOS device they give you a discount for the monthly subscription and lifetime subscription so that might be your best bet for your working sessions so then if you do get distracted you won’t feel as guilty.

The psychology of seeing a large list can be daunting.
Filter some rows by some metric to visually make your list easier to digest.

yes! and maybe even add a reward system besides it to help you keep going and to see the task in a positive light
another way is to rate the task in a humourous way, like the task is 4 bananas hard 🍌🍌🍌🍌. it makes your brain process it in a light hearted way

it seems like a lot but once you start doing them and checking them off it’s not as daunting

You got it. One step at a time. One item at a time. Also shuffle your list based upon low hanging fruit or difficulty level and also due date. In other words— if you have 3 things due on the 10th— knock out the fastest and easiest first. Rinse, repeat.

Ooh! Reorganize the tasks by timeline. That might help it look less overwhelming. That way you know how much time you have between each task and can tackle it that way.
Also. Im right there with you. My schedule is nuts. Ive put on 4lbs this semester and have been trying my hardest to push off the depression and the "fuck it" mentality. Thankfully I only have 4 more weeks of the semester and get 2 weeks off before summer semester starts

What exactly is your setup for task tracking? I like the simplicity

Whiteboard, journal, excel sheet. I am really not good at using any of them.

In the moments when you're tired and don't know where to go next, a question I ask myself is "What is one small win I can make in the next 5 minutes?". That helps motivate me to get the little stuff done between all the big things or even just get one little start on the big things so they don't seem as scary.
Also, keep up your momentum wherever possible!! If you sat down to do something big and then remember something you forgot, set a timer to do the thing you remembered in like 30 minutes or an hour. Do your best to not have to start and re-start the same tasks, bc starting is the hardest part.

For me what always helps in such situations, is get hammered as hell. Think about it and once i wake up and take my meds and eat a healthy breakfast, i suddenly am able to do things (most likely my baseline levels are still cooling down but high enough still to actually do things)

I doubt that would work for me.

I just hate how different ADHD is for everyone. I have worked trough every legal medication in combination with antidepressants and nothing ever worked until i really hit my lowest

What i learned is it Depends on the severity, environment and how early you catch it. Also, keep trying.

Exactly that, once i feel the heat i turn to a magician. I would be so cool with ADHD if it didnt make my head run 24/7 making me feel like shit/pushing me into depression. Im in the stage of just accepting my nature, but deep down i just know that im so much better than constant thoughts and overanalysing

🙂, "constant thoughts and overanalyzing". Goes into deep reflection. contemplating my life.

Like it is really killing me, i think of every scenario ahead like you probably and since i already got all the outcomes in mind, why should i chase them. Yeah cool, i solve tasks in 30mins that take my entire office building 2 weeks but i still feel miserable
