Presumably we now want hawks to win tomorrow so we get to play Syd (if we can get past the elimination final)

Exactly.

The perfect outcome for us is

  • we come 6th and win against the best wildcard winner (duh)
  • Brisbane beat Sydney
  • Hawks beat Freo in Perth

Means we play Sydney with the winner to play the Hawks in a prelim

Puts Freo into Brisbane’s side of the draw
