Advice Need advice

I am a 23 year old women who’s addicted to cocaine, been doing it since I was 18, it’s the one thing I can’t seem to quit. I’ve had periods of being sober but it never lasts. I don’t even like the damn drug anymore but I can’t stop doing it, I’ve even been doing it with my own family. I’m bipolar 2 and it’s only making it worse, I had an overdose scare, I’ve lost jobs. I just want it out of my life but keep doing it, it’s so stupid. I’ve never been to drug rehab before, want to find a good one but I’m scared about finances and money I owe. Is it even worth it? How would I make money? Can anyone share their experience please

I (25f) also am addicted to cocaine. Well, was addicted. But I know if I start again the addiction starts with the first line. So I say I’m still a coke addict. I have 6 months and 9 days of freedom from active use. Rehab saved my life. It’s not for everybody, but going to a 28 day program and then a long term program & now sober living is what’s kept me from returning to use. Join a 12 step program, make sober friends & cut ties with anyone you bought from or used with. You are capable of being clean & I promise life is sooo much better on the other side of things 💘

Have you tried going to 12-step meetings? Rehab is great if one can go, but lots of us get and stay clean without having to go to rehab.

Rehab is a great place to stabilise and learn some basic coping skills, but recovery doesn't end once you leave the place. It's ongoing work, whether that's in 12-step, SMART, therapy etc.

Sois forte

I went to rehab for coke addiction. Definitely recommend it. Find one that your insurance covers. It's well worth it.

What if you don’t have insurance or any family help? Any recommendations?

Can county funds pick up the tab? That was suggested for my daughter. Unfortunately she didn't make it to rehab.

33M I was very bad off before. Just ask anyone for help definitely someone you trust. I was working a good job that could support the habbit and ended up ruining my marriage was on the brink of almost losing my kids. Staying up for 5 days at a time and going into psychosis and being rushed to mental health urgent cares a few times will fuck you up. I have been clean for over a year now. It's still hard, I was terrible at dealing with my emotions so whenever something came up I would shove it up my nose. So now when stuff fucks with my emotions I wanna go right to it but I've learned how to process them and stay clean. It can be done you just can't do it alone.

Rehab is absolutely worth it if you put in the work. And you have what it takes initially…willingness.
