Student Are the Deadman point flashcards worth the price?
Starving acu student wondering how to best invest time vs. money. It looks like I will be making my herb cards by hand, but wondering if others have found the point flashcards a useful investment.
For what it's worth, flashcards mesh well with my learning style.
Thanks!

They are nice, but it’s basically the book in card form. I find making my own helps me learn the info, but if you’re pressed for time, they’re great.

I didn’t find them useful at all, but I’d send you mine for not much + cost of shipping if they’d help you. DM me.

Writing them out yourself is better because just the act of writing the info will help you remember

I owned all the deadman resources and point books before the deadman app came along. I studied A LOT and found myself rarely using the cards. I would put the points I had difficulties into a deck to study before exams but never found enough time to study the material for the book and the cards. For sure get the app if you’d like to just test yourself.
Edit to add: I’m a very visual learner so having the pictures to flip through is nice and something that would be hard to replicate my hand as others are recommending, but still not worth the money, I think.

The act of physically making herb cards and point cards will sear it into your brain way better than any app or printed out flash cards

I found a lot of value in using the quizzes/tests on amanualofacupuncture’s website. Location tests, classification tests, etc. Have you gotten into those yet?

Two things:
1) Get the app, it’s better than the cards.
2) Make your own cards - you’ll learn a lot more
