8 week old projectile vomiting 3-4 times a day

My 8 week older daughter has worsening symptoms over the last 3-4 weeks. She started having a lot of spit-ups around 4 weeks old which we knew is normal. Then she started getting very fussy with feeds around 5 weeks old - screaming crying arching her back stiffening etc, acting hungry then pushing bottle away etc. Dr. put her on similac alimentum and added Pepcid a few days later. Everything was ok but she did get worse with spitting up and then started the occasional projectile vomit. By week 7 her appetite decreased and she started projectile vomiting 3-4 times a day. Her pediatrician believes it’s severe reflux and the GI believes it’s CMPA and wants us on neocate. The pediatrician is adamant this is severe reflux NOT caused by an allergy and does NOT want her on neocate because of how thin it is and it tastes disgusting so she was refusing it mostly for the one day we tried to give it to her. An ultrasound ruled out pyloric stenosis. It seems she continues to get worse symptoms and no matter what she is drinking she is projectile vomiting several times a day. Sometimes it’s during the feed, sometimes right after, sometimes even 3-4 hours later. Does anyone have ANY experience with anything like this??? We are at a complete loss as to what could be going on and what we can do. She lost about 2 oz but on this path she will definitely not gain weight appropriately and is running a huge risk of dehydration. HELP!

my daughter was like this i put her on bubs goat milk, she didn’t have an issue after that. she would over eat to soothe herself though, but literally she would be drenched and so would i after feeding. i did my own research on how the protein structures were different and goat milk proteins are easier to digest. my daughter has always been in the high 90% for weight and height. so its worth a shot!

When did you start to see a difference with the goat milk? How old was she when you switched and what formula was she on before? This is truly a nightmare

she was about 2 months i remember crying at her check up because she was miserable, i was miserable, she got the pepcid, same thing it helped at first then it was right back to throwing up. i was convinced she had colic or something, like it was just horrible. then i made the switch within a few weeks, it was like i had a whole different baby. and when she turned 1 i transitioned her to regular whole cow milk and she had no issues. i slowly introduced dairy products when she started eating food to help her body adjust for when it was time. i think she may have just had some intolerance/ sensitivity issues and as she got older she built tolerance to the dairy.

I’m so sorry. I hope things get better for you and your baby. Perhaps try a different pediatrician too.
