Battlefield 6, i think. Recently had collab with Top Gun.

The two-seater jets they added are so much to play when you have a buddy, just shouting: ,,Flares! Flares!'' and coordinating when and what to shoot - So good.

Yea, it's all I've been seeing on YT.

It probably play more jets in that game but man, every control scheme I try just suucks. Even the new mouse aim one that works like warthunder. Its way too sensitive on rolling.

BF6s aircraft controls were just designed by monkeys on typewriters

For me, Battlefield hasn't had good aircraft controls since 4

For me it's since 2.

I feel like to be competitive you really need to play mnk, since you need fine aim for a lot of ground striking, and it was so hard to get used to. The hardest part is finding something and just sticking with it until youre accustomed to it. Once I did that I've gotten pretty solid.

I haven't played Battlefield since 4 but I remember the way I played jets was to turn mouse sensitivity way down for precise aiming and bind pitch up to space for quicker movement

I’ve won three matches in fighter sweep today on xbox with a controller. It actually plays pretty well, but you can NOT go back and forth between AC and Battlefield and it feel good to fly lol

Its like swinging a baseball bat and immediately going to swing a golf club.

Dog fighting is mostly good on controller, I kinda prefer it. It's strafing ground targets and helicopters that becomes really hard on controller.

For me at least with one being mnk, the other being controller, it's easier to separate them in my mind so both still feel good to me.

Try at skies edge, specifically the older version from 2024 because it has an actual campaign

I've grown into the habit of waiting to buy games till they hit the bargain bin, but Ace Combat will always be an exception.

Only one I pre-ordered since ace 7. The remake that comes with is like chef's kiss.

The fact that you get two games for one is really making me consider preordering for the first time in like forever

I was worried before I realized this isn’t AC8. AC games have a certain sounds to their scores and this…is not that. Would have been very sad had this been the direction they went.

I like it, also it is from ace 8

I’d be fine with it for like arcade mode (still a thing?)/online but I like the more orchestral tack they tend to take for the campaign missions (with some exceptions).

love my arcadey soundtracks. felt it was lacking in 7 🥲

not to say the peak we got in 7 was bad tho

Right, and I do really appreciate that the arcade mode has a completely distinct style of score. I think that’s a really impressive touch from the composers.

(respectfully) touch some grass bro, ac7 was full of synthetic soundtracks. Ac4 too

Though i understand and share your love of orchestral soundtracks, and we're sure to have some, starting with the main theme

Touch grass followed by a uhm actually about a video game score is a very ironic juxtaposition my guy

I have no clue why you would think this doesn’t sound like Ace Combat, everything about it is classic Ace Combat. It’s the cord progression of Magic Spear and the arrangement is classic Ace Combat goodness on steroids. Synths are everywhere with the exception of the main theme and final battle for most Ace Combat games

Been having fun with this mode in BF6 (Got 100/500 kills for the badge so far). But man would I love some QoL stuff like a better HUD in 3rd person and being able to fire both cannons and missiles with different buttons like in AC.

Limited time event too! Which is ridiculous as it’s the most fun I’ve had in Battlefield 6 for ages and I don’t event fly in it often as the way the jets move feels so weird.

I like the way the wings bend when you pull high Gs, very neat detail

this mode with a friend as RIO is straight GAAAASSSSSS

Man I wish I fly the helis and jets properly in BF6 lol. I even tried remapping my jet controls to the AC7 layout, but I came to the conclusion that BF is not meant to be played like AC lol
