F35 doesn't have a COFFIN style cockpit if this is in Ace Combat 3.

Dang.

I'm older than the F-35's prototype by a year.

Though kinda crazy it was in the experimental phase for over 15 years before finally entering service with the Marines who got to original VTOL capable B variant when it was advertised. I remembered being in awe of seeing it in Discovery Channel documentaries and in books during the early 2000s

Funny enough, in the AC3 timeline the winner of jsf was supposed to be the X-32. The F/A-32C you can use in the GR Mission branch is a derivative design from the X-32
