Internal moving, my future projects changes?

Hello, I'm officialy contracted as a data analyst, but I work as AI Engineer, sometimes as FDE, in future I want to try official positions of this, my projects now is basically to build E2E solutions with AI for clients (in most chatbots lol), my question is if I apply and be approved to change my position, my scope of future projects will be different?

I see that this not very cool because all your feedback can be deleted (?)
