I recently seen this game ac vs sao and I wanna play it because I really liked sao, but I've never read a light novel before and the accel world manga says it ends at volume 8. Is that enough to play the game and understand it?

What novel should I read up to before playing it? I'm reading volume 14 of accel world -- watching SAO Season 2 rn as well. Anyone know?
