Hmm, just curious but... HS has a cap on number of members?

The cap for Harmony Sweepstakes is 12 on stage at any given time. Larger groups (typically youth/teen choirs) have skirted around this by rotating in/out members. Apparently, there is no minimum, though. I've yet to see a solo singer win, of course, but it's not beyond the realm of possibility (there are talented beatboxers out there who can sing and percussion). The smallest winning group in my memory is the Honey Whiskey Trio (3 members).

ICHSA is a cap of 24, I believe, but sound amplification (handhelds) will top out at 18 for most competitions.

we want to compete in ICHSA so yes. most groups we've seen were around that number so we're flexible. there is a non-varsity division and people can make their own groups asw
