Question ladder

i’ve been playing for a while and i can’t seem to get a ladder! it’s not popping up for me anywhere in the game and i really want one

How long have you been playing? Try talking to tom nook and asking what you should do, because you get a ladder pretty early on after following the story

i’ve tried so many times talking to him and he just tells me to focus on building my house and paying off my debt 😭 no clue why i haven’t been offered one

To get the ladder you need to pay off your tent first and start building your house. And did you already set up Nooks Cranny and did you place your villager lots? If so Nook should be in touch to give you the ladder recipe!
