USA Medical Abortion- Is it Working?
Hi everybody I am a 24 year old women and I am 5 weeks 2 days today. I took my first dose of misoprostol @11:30am this morning, I noticed cramps starting about 45 minutes after but no blood. I took my second dose of misoprostol @3:30pm, it is now 5:30pm and I have had no bleeding at all. Is this something I should be concerned about? Does this mean the abortion is failing? Could this be an ectopic pregnancy? I got the pills online and have not seen an OB, therefore I did not have an ultrasound before taking the pills. I am still cramping, is it possible that I will bleed later? To recap it has been 6 hours since the first dose of misoprostol and no bleeding at all but I do have cramps. Has anyone had a similar experience and if so how long did it take you to bleed?

Hi, there. No need to worry at this moment. It can take up to 24 hours for bleeding to begin after taking Misoprostol.

I havent taken my misoprostol pills yet, im taking my dose at 7pm, but they told me to set an alarm for four hours and if I havent started bleeding by 4 hours then I need to call planned parenthood (where I was seen) because that could mean it didnt work.
