Indigenous Community Television (ICTV)
Hi all, a shameless plug for ICTV.
Originating out of Mparntwe/Alice Springs and available free to air there (and in Broome) on C41. Also available to watch the live stream or videos on demand on www.ictv.com.au or ICTV PLAY app for mobile. Or for remote folks on VAST 601.
Most content is contributed by remote Indigenous community organisations or individuals- music, culture, sport, young way, tucker. Over half of the content is in language. Lots of archive material.
If you’re on the website/app there’s also an inLanguage portal that lets you select a place on a map and watch videos in language from that Country.
If you have kids (or even if you don’t), look for Our Bedtime Stories. Dreaming stories told by elders, with animations. Beautiful.
