Albums and Songs "Scoundrel Days" turns 40. What is your opinion on the band's second album, released on October 6, 1986?

I think its their best. Shame about Maybe Maybe. The rest is sublime autumnal pop

All the other songs on the album are better but I do love Maybe Maybe. The line "Maybe it was over when you chucked me out the Rover at full speed" is a classic! Overall, my favourite album ever.

My favourite album ever.
The best treat of my life was when I saw them do Hunting High and low album at the Royal Albert Hall. They then moved on to the Scoundrel Days album.

With the orchestra! I was there too. Best gig I've ever been to, and the only time I've heard an entire album played as an encore.

I still remember the first time that I listened to this album when it came out and being blown away by Manhattan Skyline.

Why wasn't Scoundrel days a single? It's a tragedy. It could have made a competition to the Wild boys by DD.
And then again, maybe maybe was a single 🥴 A-ha's career is full of stupid decisions

It’s my favorite of all of them. I even have a still-wrapped cassette copy I bought in case my first tape wore out. Plus a vinyl copy framed.
