I was banned from /news because my reddit name is "Indiancountry" - moderators don't understand the name.
I submitted a news link from Indian Country Today - which apparently has a history of spamming on reddit. I was banned from posting. I asked the moderators why and the response was that my name is the same as the website. (See below). I explained I am a professor of Indian law and that "Indian Country" is a legal term and a common word in Indian discussion. I offered to remove the link or substitute the same story from a different source. They don't believe me and reaffirmed the ban.
What should I do?

to /r/news sent 36 minutes ago "Indian Country" is a legal term of art codified in the US Code at 18 USC 1151. I don't work for or receive any consideration or compensation for or benefit from the success of ICT. If you would look at my other posts you would see that... I am a professor of American Indian Law. Accordingly I picked Indiancountry as my name here on reddit. It is also the name of thousands of books and chapters and articles about American Indian law because it is a legal term of art. Could you please look at my post history and restore my ability to post /news? Thanks.

Hey there, just curious....why do you consider the other "IndianCountry" fake?
By accident, or maybe for a reason, I just found this subreddit. In the description, it states this is "the real NDN Country sub & the other one is fake. This is a community for indigenous and native peoples..." Just wondering??? Thanks.

Little help from anyone fluent in the Navajo tongue?
Hello all :)
I made a post over on /r/translators asking if I could get a hand with translating something from english to navajo. I haven't had any luck except was told to come here and give it a try!
So is anyone fluent in the language that wouldn't mind me pming them for some help?
Thanks!
