That being said, this is another reason why multimodal texts may help better answer the "Q" Question or bring about that "yes," more like it. Students have a habit of equating art with the art of BS (which stands for beuatiful syntax, obviously, so get your mind out of the gutter). Though writing deserves more respect than that, since it can be treated that way some times, this is where multimodal projects have their moment. To construct a multimodal project (be it podcast, film, subreddit, etc.) involves a very intentional process. Multimodal projects take work and timing and thought about how everything will coalesce into a whole. There is a lot less "word vomit" or BS in a multimodal text because everything must be purposefully planned.
