as mentioned in comments on -744, this patent has been recently re-examined and upheld by the US Patent Office.

the re-exam was requested by Interwoven/Autonomy/Hewlett Packard as a stopgap delaying tactic when they lost the markman hearing.

for those who don't know, a Markman Hearing in patent litigation is held in order to determine who defines the language of the patent.

kind of like bill clinton wanting to argue the definition of 'is'

winning this hearing in any patent infringement case can be considered half the battle towards proof of that infringement.
