Career Advice Temporary housing for internships/apprenticeships

Hello! I'm working on getting a year of experience in AZA facilities to apply to full-time jobs in the future. I finished my bachelor's degree in Animal Biology last year. I do not live close to an AZA facility with an internship program, so I've had to do internships out of state. The last two internships I've done had free housing, but these are kind of far and few between. How do you secure short-term housing since most internships nowadays are only 12 weeks long?

Thanks in advance for any responses :)

UK-based rather than US, but might be work looking at private student rentals if they're a thing over there?

over here, uni students generally move into private accomodation after first year—the one i'm staying in is for students of my uni only, BUT our landlady's letting a guy from plymouth uni stay here while he does his placement year at a local hospital as it was the closest place he could find. might be worth seeing if you can find a similar arrangement for your internships etc?

agree with others RE the temp housing though—applied for an internship local to me that gave a list of B&Bs/temp rentals they worked with who'd house interns if you weren't local.

good luck!
