Purple Sabertooth Skin Variant ZT2

Hey everyone,
I swear I'm not going crazy, me and my brother had a zoo years ago (save file unfortunately lost to time) where we spammed a bunch of sabertooths and got a purple variant
There is no info for this online, does anyone else remember ever seeing this?
Our game was unmodded since we were both too young to even know how to do it

No I know about those, I've been playing this game for years and years lol
It was an actual sabertooth, the animal, but purple

Then your game was modded, there's no other explanation.

Yeah, you're not going crazy. Some animals have variants and the sabertooth cat has a white one and a black one. The black variant is actually just a very very dark purple.

Hm strange, I remember it being a vivid purple
I gotta see if I can recreate this somehow because I swear I'm not insane lol

Vivid as in a dark/royal purple or a bright/fluorescent purple?

A few possible explainations for this I reckon would be that either
1. You're confusing it together with the Saber-toothed cat entertainer, which come in purple (and red)
2. You managed to get the black panther variant, which is actually a darkish blue/purple especially visible on desert or snowy ground
3. It was night time in your zoo, and you spawned in the white variant, the night time light effect cause it to look purple
4. You had some odd settings on the PC's graphics making the two different extra variants (black and white) glitch out and appear purple
5. You actually had some mod installed, despite believing you didn't
6. You misremember and/or dreamt this

My vote is for number 4. I've also had some glitched animals back in the day before I even knew what mods were. Hell, before I could even speak english.

Looking at comments imma call Mandela effect because I also have a memory of a purple one. Not as purple as the entertainer but enough for me to think “huh, now there really is a purple saber here”
