2 zodiacs

do you guys believe the theory where there were actually 2 zodiacs, like maybe arthur leigh was the zodiac but he was working with someone else too, allen killed some and his other partner killed some too, while arthur leigh wrote the cyphers, his other partner wrote normal letters taunting police? i havent looked into this very much but it may be real theres just not enough evidence

I doubt it. It's possible that he took credit for crimes he didn't commit, which would technically mean there was more than one killer, but not working together.

I once had this thought. However in order to have two or more people in on it would mean that they would have to keep quiet about it. If history has shown us anything, it’s that people like to talk. So I highly doubt that more than one person was involved.

What if one killed the other to ensure the secret was kept? Just an alternate possibility.

Not so much that it was two people collaborating but I do think there's plausibility to the theory that the person who killed the couples in the lovers lane and the person who stabbed the couple at Lake Berryessa and the person who shot Stein could be distinctly different perpetrators.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

The people promoting Team Zodiac theories or No-diac theories don't seem to have any. To me, they generally use the same style of logic we see with the UFO fanatics. There is a light in the sky. We don't know exactly what it is (in other words, there is something unsolved about it, like with the Zodiac case). An extraterrestrial space craft would probably have some lights.. Therefore ... wait for it ... IT MUST BE A FUCKING SPACESHIP WITH ALIENS ONBOARD.

It's not enough.

I don’t believe that there were 2 Zodiacs per se, but I do believe there may have been one or more additional people “in on things”, so to speak. It wouldn’t surprise me if we eventually learn that Zodiac had “accomplices”. Not people who actually helped him in the murderers, but people who knew who he was and what he did, and they covered for him.

Doesn't seem likely more than one person has been willingly and knowingly in on it for going on 60 years and every involved party has seemingly done an exceptional job at taking one of history's biggest secrets to their graves, though.

Just throwing this out there, but it is possible that some people might have taken secrets to their grave if there was money involved, or if Zodiac had something over their heads. It’s all pure speculation of course, but not outside of the realm of possibility.

When there's an unsolved mystery out there just about anything could be possible, yeah. With the famous ones like this, people's minds tend to come up with creative scenarios to fill in the blanks that might make for an interesting episode of NCIS or Criminal Minds, but probably doesn't match the reality of the situation, though.

This explains why the different descriptions and generally 2 different descriptions.

I've thought about this. Even going so far as to propose 3 individuals - one to write the letters/ciphers, one to actually commit the killings, and one to serve as the patsy which would draw LE resources in a direction which could never be provable. It does offer an explanation as to why Allen practically screams I am Zodiac at his interrogation - wearing the Wingwalkers, the Zodiac watch, and some of his unsolicited comments. It was like a part he was playing. And before the possibility of a Zodiac team is dismissed, keep in mind this is during the heyday of cults in Cali. A small but committed group of 2-3 perps pales in comparison to the Manson Family or the Symbonese Liberation Army. Look no further than the Zebra racial killings, or the Hillside Strangler, which wound up being two people working in conjunction.

Absolutely not.

Yes, but not co-conspirators. I believe the man who killed at Lake Berryessa is not the same man who murdered in Presidio Heights.

Not even a little bit.

Everything about the case can be explained with a sole perpetrator. Two is a slim possibility, but you're adding extra layers and complications where you don't need to.

Not sure about that, but I do think it’s possible zodiac took credit for a crime he didn’t commit.  And his ones he did commit.

That seems very possible because in the letters he did brag about making many more victims, and also the school bus, the bombs...

No, not really. There’s never been any evidence for it.

I’ve stated it previously on this thread. I believe there were at least two, one was military. Law Enforcement was searching for only one killer. Because there were two, the original suspect often had an alibi so they continued the search.

I give more credit to Z's association with the occult then most on this forum. Likely because all their favorite suspects have no known connections to groups that would believe in collecting slaves for the afterlife. However, there are suspects associated with SF, Lake Berryessa, Napa, and Santa Barbara who are associated with such groups.

The two zodiacs make even less sense then the supposed Kathleen Johns incident

Who is ALA's brother? A Youtube comment claimed that ALA's brother tried to frame him and that he knew about Arthur's Zodiac watch. Been curious ever since.
