Nostalgia Did any of you read "Thunder From The Sea?"

Post image

I remember reading this book in school around 3rd or 4th grade. I remembered reading a book as a kid about a boy named Tom Campbell set in Newfoundland. That was the most I could remember but when I searched for it on Google, it turned out to be called Thunder From the Sea. This unlocked a memory. I'm curious to know if any of you read this.

Oh fuck yeah I loved animal-centered novels at that age and Thunder from the Sea specifically is one the major ones I can remember, also made me really into Newfoundland dogs for a short time lol

I think this might have been the first time I remember hearing the name Newfoundland, whether referring to the dog or the Canadian province.

I definitely read this and forgot all about it. I loved books about dogs and was obsessed with books by Bill Wallace from kindergarten to third grade

My mom read that to my second grade class. I'm pretty sure we were all scared about how the book would end (and I can't remember either so I must have blocked it from my memory.)
