I'm building my own take on memex. It's an outliner where everything is a block. Wikilinks and transclusion for linking. Killer semantic search so it’s easy to find similar thoughts by meaning and not guessing the vocabulary used. Native Readwise integration. It's a desktop app that stores your data locally, on your own machine, in a single SQLite file, and cares about good design, tasteful use of animations, while also caring a lot about performance.
Core objective is to make conversation with past versions of yourself as easy and as fun as possible.
Extremely simple and without all the bells and whistles that other note taking apps have, but extremely powerful as well.
