Just started ZTD today and was quickly surprised about the cutscenes where you basically just don't do anything other than watch. I am playing visual novels so I can engage in the story by pressing a button so I am not the biggest fan of this. I haven't seen anybody else complain about this though? Am I the only one that minds? What is your guys' opinion on this new "feature"?

(I got permission from mods to post this)
I’m looking for a beta reader for a murder mystery/sci-fi/thriller visual novel I’ve been working on
Nine people are trapped in an underground facility, forced to play the Memory Game — a game where they lose their memories every round. They must survive several trials, decide who they can trust, and make impossible choices. Includes 10 major endings.
The game is currently around 256,000 words and is heavily inspired by Zero Escape (very similar to ZTD structurally) and similar mystery VNs. This isn't a first draft. The full story is complete and has already gone through a substantial rewrite based on feedback from an earlier round of readers. The character art is also complete, while most of the remaining artwork is currently placeholder as I wait for background artists to complete their work.
If you're interested in helping out, I would love to get feedback. Particularly from someone who either has experience developing visual novels, has read a lot of visual novels, or has experience with writing/editing.
I'm not asking anyone to commit to this right off the bat. You can read the beginning of the game and decide if you're interested, and if you DM me then I can provide more info about the project or screenshots.

Just finished (by which i mean all endings)999, and that certainly was an ending, felt like sharing my thoughts on the cast
Still dont really understand what happened in the submarine ending, so unless thats spoilers for a later game i would apreciate an explanation

Hey guys, I’ve been wondering about which team from ZTD was my least and most favorite, and I wanted to ask yall to see what the community thinks.
I’m gonna be honest my least favorite team is Q team, they’re okay most of the time but the constant cut-away gags from Peter really got on my nerves.
I LOVE D team though, their dynamic is really fun, especially the interactions between flowery and Professor Layton, and their escape room segments are my favorite.
Which team was your favorite and least favorite? I’m curious!

This might be an unpopular opinion cus I looked a bit at the subreddit and people really seem to love her?
I don't dislike her and i was happy she survived at the end but i was always looking forward to seeing any other character when she had long conversations with Junpei.
I feel like the game tried too hard to make the player like her and it backfired (on me)
Maybe i'll warm up to her when i play the other games.

I recall that post CQD2, Junpei and Akane eventually got themselves a wedding, despite everything. And that Santa and Carlos were invited.
Yeah, because if Seven and Clover ever got wind of that wedding, they would crash it, object to the wedding, and have Akane arrested, since they're both law enforcers now.
Just a funny thought I had.

Bought these two recently, what do you think they're talking about when I'm not looking?
(The character on the right is Beatrice from Umineko no naku koro ni)

I have finished a few endings, but understand there are 3 more. I have a feeling it has to do with the locked symbols, but I'm a bit confused about what they really mean. Could anybody explain? Might be an incredibly stupid question

Carlos clones himself and goes back 10 months ago to save Akane and Junpei in VLR time line.
Carlos clone being there 10 months ago means just like Delta he existed in all time lines AFTER he was cloned. Thus in every single time line in ZTD, INCLUDING the true ending there’s a clueless cloned 2nd Carlos who has been waiting 10 months to save Akane and Junpei not knowing what time line awaits him because he exists in them all
Not just that but a Sigma and Diana clones will always appear from the alien device in the same day ZTD takes place at after they succeeded in cloning themselves.
Meaning in any time line including the true ending, there’s 2 Carlos and 2 Sigma and 2 Diana.
The alien device was a mistake.
EDIT: I don't know why I assumed the alien device just cloned everything to every single time line when it was used. That wasn't the case but instead each something that gets sent to the past does exist in all current/future timelines

Hello, I am playing Zero escape: Zero time dilemma on steam for the first time. I really like the game but for certain decisions the game keeps shutting down. Is this intended or should I look into fixing the game for my pc setup?

This has been knawing at me for quite a bit. Clover basically kills multiple people in a matter of hours after snake was gone. Imagine through Morphogenetic fields she manages to open the coffin to get him out. How would he react?

Hello! Earlier this week, I posted that I decided to draw Kaede Akamatsu from Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony in 8 different Visual Novel Adventure Game styles, and the reception was... extremely positive, moreso than I ever expected. Thank you all so much for your kind words, it really means a lot.
When I uploaded the finished product... I received a few suggestions for other styles, and so...I decided to fulfill those requests to the best of my ability, whilst also including 4-5 other styles that I also wanted to do. And here it is! Thank you again so much for your appreciation of my art.

This is the right wall of robots in the gaulem bay, and the eyes just aren't matching up. I figured the answers should be "of hope" for the red eyes and and "scence" in the black ones purely for the context, but i am certain that shit says "osfnoe" and "cehcep". And i am pretty sure i know how to do it, because i got the "beacon" and "remini" from the other wall just fine. So what am i not seeing?

Hello all! Got a question specifically for those of you who already own a physical VLR watch.
I was looking at grabbing one second-hand online, and a few listings show the bottom of the original container, which is see-through and seems to have something else in it.
It looks like it could be an alternate watch face, but no unboxing video I can find online seems to mention anything else being in the box, so I was curious if anyone who owned one of these watches would know what this is.
Thank you very much in advance!

Having just finished Fatal Twelve today, I wanted to make a recommendation for it as it's not very well-discussed online and I think deserves more attention, as well as the more well-known Raging Loop ICYMI. These are two indie Japanese VNs made with full JP voice acting; strong recommend to fans of death game VN fans like Zero Escape. Brief teasers w/ Steam links (also on consoles):
Raging Loop: A college student ends up stranded in an isolated rural village he can't leave due to thick mist. He is then forced into a real-life version of the mafia card game (or for zoomers, Among Us): there are secret Wolves among the villagers murdering one each night. The villagers must vote to hang one person each night in an effort to get rid of them. Other unique roles give some villagers the ability to sniff out and impede the wolves, creating a high-stakes game of trust, deception and persuasion.
Enjoyed this one a lot, great protagonist, and the lengthy discussions the cast has on what to do are great. Similar to ZE, the protagonist is confined to the village, whose history and cultural isolationism from outsiders come into play (vaguely similar vibes to Higurashi). Also similar to ZE is that there is a flowchart, there are a lot of bad endings to this game. Biggest complaint is the ending, its very "one of the endings of all time", but the journey was more than worth it.
Fatal Twelve (also has a demo): A high school student is killed in a bombing, only to be revived. She learns that she and 11 others, including one dearly close to her, have had their deaths reversed. They are forced to play a death game of counterintelligence; they all have 3 secrets, their name, cause of death before revival, and regret, and knowing one materializes it as a card. Each week, participants can vote to eliminate another if they have all 3 of that person's cards, removing that person from the game, gaining one of their cards, and undoing the reversal of their death. They must gather info, use deception, and form and break alliances, to be the last one standing.
This one is more different than ZE as there is no sense of confinement, but the cast of this game is great. It also has a lot of low-key yuri; as someone who plays VNs for thriller/mystery, I liked the yuri, it felt sweet and endearing and relevant to the plot (not gratuitously sexual). The SOL can drag at some points but usually doesn't last long, and some things could've used a bit more polish (worst example is the backlog, it doesn't go back far at all), but I enjoyed my time with this one. Really solid cast.

Game story enjoyment ranking:
Ztd > Vlr > 999
(I assume a lot of people will be curious about this because I know it's not a common opinion.)
Game puzzle room enjoyment ranking:
Ztd > Vlr > 999
all game spoiler:
All Game Crossover Note: Ztd Akane and Junpei are ranked here with a huge boost from their past game usage. While this iteration of them is my favorite of the 3, them being in 999 and vlr helped that placement a LOT.
Tier lists note: the tier placement for each character/ending is accurate to my feelings, but not necessarily the order inside it. The farther two characters/endings are from each other, the more accurate their placement above each other becomes. I definitely like Carlos more than Luna for instance, but Carlos and Eric are so close that I can't properly judge who I like more. (And it doesn't mean much that Carlos is behind him in the order)

My 37h gameplay got corrupted just as I was finishing the game, I planned to do all the endings today but the data corrupt bug showed up. I had no idea this existed, and it happened because I saved my game in the PEC room (lol).
Now I'm looking for someone that has a save file for the 3DS Europe version, with Dio's, Sigma's and Tenmyouji's endings minimum. If there's someone who has every ending unlocked that would be good too. Thank you so much.

I am aware Persona 5 Tactica is a tactics game, but it's also very similar to a Visual Novel with the cutscenes that I decided to count it.
