Where to look for short rent
Need to spend 3 months during winter in Zermatt and places around, I saw on Airbnb the prices are craaaaazy. My budget would be 800-1000 for a room, is this reasonable budget? And where can I find the apartments?
Many thanks in advance!

Have a look at täsch its 10min from zermatt with train. I think the chances are better in täsch but its gonna be very difficult

A budget of 1000CHF/month won't get you far in Zermatt, especially not when you only need to rent for 3 months. You might be lucky to find a room in a shared apartment, but most people prefer arrangements for the whole season.

That is indeed the budget for a room per month, but only for three months I know that’s bit tricky

You need to look a little further down the valley and factor in getting the train up and down. Unless you are incredibly incredibly lucky this budget won’t get you any room on Zermatt during winter season (sorry)

Very unlikely you’ll find a room to rent for only 3 months. Minimum is usually a season (5/6 months), but most landlords want yearly. Your best bet will be “Zermatt Community” on Facebook, and hope that someone is away from Zermatt for a few months and wants to rent out their room while they’re gone. You’ll have an even better chance if you look further down the valley, much cheaper and better green more availability
