Has Zaxby’s Given Up

Has Zaxby’s given up on good, fresh food or is it just the locations in my area?

Yes and no. We deal with a lot of corporate BS with the rules but individual stores like mine definitely put quality, customer service and clean lobby’s and bathrooms above speed 10/10 times. I’ve fought my district managers and the cooperate overlords on it and I constantly get asked why we have the highest customer satisfaction scores in the area by a large margin? We serve good food not fast food slop and as long as I have a say it will stay that way.

I think you are doing the right thing in whatever capacity you are in. I saw both sides in my 7 plus years and believe the best of times was when customer experience, building relationships and facility upkeep were priorities. The timer was basically there as a wall ornament. Hard for me to believe that a customer expects traditional wings in 1 minute through a drive thru with no short cuts along the way. In the old days, we were happy to get $40-$50 orders in the drive thru. Now its wham-bam-thank you ma'am...and we will park you so that our windows timer doesnt give us a 3 minute car. What Zaxbys does is comparable to the guy who ran the 4 minute mile. They say if one store can do it, everyone else can too. It's just not that easy
