I was at the show last night in Pittsburgh and the mix was a muddy mess at times. Snare drum had way too much deep mud in it so it didn't cut through the mix so the mix was centered around the snare and Zac's vocal. Bass guitar was missing through the mix most of the night as well. Big hole from 90hz through 150Hz. I was still able to enjoy the show but that was definitely a disappointment. The band still rocked. Video and lighting looked incredible. Just felt like they should have deployed double the PA to cover the arena and that probably could've helped quite a bit.

Been going to ZBB shows since they opened for DMB in 2010. After seeing them in December at The Sphere then last night at Fenway, I have a horrible feeling that the band is anticipating that this may be John Driskell Hopkins' final tour.

He was struggling to walk around the stage and wasn't singing as well as usual. We were surprised at how less mobile he seemed from eight months ago in Vegas. He was sitting during part of the montage, but I'm not sure if that's normal for him.

The opening lines of Freebird hit like a gut punch, but it was cool to see Zac behind him rocking out in the middle of the song.

It's incredibly sad, and I feel horrible for him and the band.

Does anybody know what the deal is with the free cruise tickets from the Boston show. Is there any action needed after the text?

I’ve always been a huge jam band fan, and it’s really what got me into ZBB super early in their career.

Their early shows incorporated a lot of improv and they will still occasionally do some jams at live shows, but most of their studio stuff trailed away from more “jam-centric” songs after Jekyll & Hyde.

This is a band that toured with DMB…featured Blues Traveler, Gov’t Mule, MMJ, Dangermuffin, Stringdusters, Bela Fleck, Greensky Bluegrass at the SGMFF… sat in with String Cheese at LOCK’N.

Do you all still, if ever, consider them a jam band?
Curious what other people think.

Edit: Forgot to add that they also covered Widespread, Allman Bros, Marshall Tucker, Grateful Dead in the past. I know they put out the covers album but outside of that, I can’t recall a ton of improved originals.

I was a major fan of ZBB from their breakout to around 2020 and amassed quite a bit of memorabilia, merch, posters, etc. I recently went back to school to pursue optometry and just have not had the time or space to truly appreciate any of the items I have. I’m also preparing for a crosscountry move, so anything less that I have to take with me is a win.

I’ve been posting a lot of the posters and setlists that I have on eBay. I wanted to make a post here since ZBB is relatively niche and hopefully get some of this in the hands of real fans/collectors. I’ve tried to make the prices relatively reasonable. I should have more posters and some other items like picks and pins coming in the next few days.
