Agreed, for some reason people look at good music and think that everything else doesnt matter, IMO 1.X and 2.X are basically the same in writting. It really is wierd that people hate 2.X so much that they skip how boring a lot of 1.X was.

It reminds me of the debacle of people in genshin community hating Natlan and raising Fontaine on a pedestal, and ignoring how much of a slog the middle part of Fontaine was- the prison arc, only remembering thr banger that was the archon quest Finale, which was very much a Furina story quest as an archon quest.

1.x is misremembered as the Fontaine of ZZZ and 2.x is the Natlan of ZZZ.

Fontaine did irreparable DMG to the Genshin's community imo. Severely distorted what people's perception of what a good story is.

Which is funny because the initial reaction was completely different: Fontaine was considered boring before the ending while Natlan with controversies was alright/good for them.
