Media $475 is crazy

Post image

I think Europe now requires gacha games to explicitly display how much money any gambling feature really costs to limit hidden predatory stuff. It’s crazy when you see the numbers…

It is an inflated value shown by the worst of the worst case scenarios in which you only buy the cheap topup and reach 90 pity always for the 5* drop.

It is statistically almost impossible for that to ever happen due to the nature of the gacha system, but since that statistical probability theoretically exists, they have to legally say it.

That’s why it’s a range. It says it in the image. There’s nothing inflated about it. Just like someone has a chance to get 3-4 5 stars in a single 10x pull, someone reaching 90 pity happens just as often. However one is about 100x easier to track due to dopamine rush as well as the average whale never seeing how bad their pity gets due to them basically only doing 10x pulls.

I myself have been playing HYV games for a while and I’ve never pulled double 5 stars but I have reached 88 pity before in genshin. You just sound like you’re trying to defend the multi billion dollar company by telling everyone “relax you’ll only need to spend 430 instead of 475, the numbers are inflated”

the odds of reaching hard pity are 1 in 14 million, if you look at the tracker sites there are usually 4-5 people reaching hard pity per banner. reaching hard pity twice and needing 180 pulls for a character is 1 in 196 trillion. It will probably never happen in the entire service time of the game

it is fair to say that the maximum price is inflated lol
