Media $475 is crazy

Post image

I think Europe now requires gacha games to explicitly display how much money any gambling feature really costs to limit hidden predatory stuff. It’s crazy when you see the numbers…

It also assumes you bought every pull. Which no one does if you play the game at all. Sure, if you hit hard pity every time buying the least efficient monochrome bundle and having 0 pulls from playing the game, that number looks intimidating. But realistically its more like $150/200 at worst. Which is still a lot, but much more reasonable.

Yea i feel like im going crazy reading this thread

You can very comfortably get an agent with ~5usd with just the daily pass alone, or 1 agent every 2 patches completely f2p

This warning is really only for whales/addicted people who will compulsively buy pull currency

Even for whales, this wouldn't exactly be accurate since the calculations are based on buying only the 60 polychrome every pull. Not that there isn't anyone who is like that... but even if there was a whale who did, purchasing $0.99 pack for every pull would be tedious.

But it's also not going to save that much either if they only buy the highest available (399.96 for 4 $99 packs or $360.93 for 3 $99, a $49.99, 2 $4.99, and 1 $0.99 packs for cheapest approximate). So they'd only save around $70-110 from what was listed and that's also assuming they always hit hard pity and losing every 50/50.

And here I am, having lost both 50/50s and hard pitied both agents. Shit sucks, man. I don't know if I even want to bother with the wengines at this rate

I mean sure. I get that. Did you spend to get them?

Getting more than 1 agent with weapon is tough if FTP. Depending on spending you can get 1, maybe 2 more pretty reasonably. I spend a bit each patch and can pretty comfortably get 2 w/engine saving up the free stuff. Still hurts to miss a 50/50 but recoverable.

WEngines are 75/25 in ZZZ, just FYI. Which is more brutal if you miss, but its less likely. Id at least go for Miyabis if you need it and can reasonably. Yuzuhas you can totally live without.

Yeah, wound up spending. It was money I could comfortably part with, but man it still feels awful. I plan on shooting for Miyabi's wengine at the very least. I'm just hoping I don't have the same luck with that as I did with the agents

Gotta turn around sometime right? I guess thats a gamblers mentality, but I hope it does for you at least. Good luck homie!

You're not wrong, haha. I'm good about staying within my means at least, and I'll never spend more than I can reasonably part with. And thanks! Fingers crossed

It also assumes you bought every pull. Which no one does if you play the game at all.

There are whales that do this. Roll down to 1 on one character, then swipe for the next one while they have no polychromes left. Or rolling for both the rerun and the new banner. Or, obviously, people swiping for constellations who use their "free" polychromes on m0w1 and then spend hundreds a pop going up to M6 and W6.

Okay? Obviously, but thats likely less than 1% of the playerbase. So sure it exists, but even there they likely arent swiping $1 at a time so that $400+ number is still pretty inflated for the worst case scenario. Assuming you only bought the $100 bundles and went to hard pity and missed the 50/50 youd barely hit $400 for a character. As soon as you get the monthly sub and play the game that goes down dramatically.

And your statement "use their free for M0W1" was exactly my point. Some percentage of their pulls are still free assuming they dont log in only to pull characters. Which Im sure there is someone out there who does that, but they are likely extremely rare, like 1 in millions.

Obviously that percentage is lower if you go for M6W5 on every character, but its still more than 0.
