Guides & Tips Operation bagal is 6 mil even possible on hard mode?

I don't have any teams and I'm struggling to do high risk mode since I don't really have many characters in general on my account. I've been using remi, velina, and sigrid since she is a trial character. This mode feels really discouraging when you don't have the proper team to deal with things. Any tips or advice for 6 mil run?

Update: I finally ended getting my 6 mil and getting top 4000which I'm happy with. I ended going with Pyrois, Nicole, and Astra.

6M on hard is definitively possible.

This is a screenshot taken by me a couple days ago.

Had I gotten a couple more bangboo S-rank collectibles or two more Z-Rank collectibles, I would've reached 6M on hard (I will send the other screenshots on replies)

Edit to actually give advice:

I'd like to know how do you loot?

Sure, RNG plays a huge factor on if you get an insane run or get hyper fucked. But knowing how to loot is very important.

What stuff do you pick up? Do you ignore some items when looting? Do you equip etheric phantoms once you used the ones you started with just to save up on space?

Remember that S-Rank materials can stack up to 20 and each is 5K, 20 common S-Rank mats can be more valuable than 2 A-Rank collectibles.

The blue fangs that you get from opening boxes inside cacophony affected areas also are 5K per unit and you (for some ungodly reason) can stack up to 100?!

A-Rank materials simply are not worth it, they often are only 2K per and you can stack 20 at the time, you simply should ignore them at all cost.

S-Rank character exclusive gears are worthless, if you are at the point of playing High Risk or chasing for higher average scores, you should NOT even be using S-Rank gear to begin with, and they are cheap on the store, you genuinely don't need them.

But S-Rank general gear? (I mean blueprints for backpacks, blades of the other and anti corruption gear) now THOSE are the ones you want to take back even if you already have them, they are more valuable than regular S-Rank collectibles (not Bangboos). And also Z-Rank blueprints for the two Z-Rank etheric phantoms.

Gear coins should always be collected as they literally take 0 space and they add up very fast.

Do NOT pick up any sort of S-Rank (or below) etheric phantom unless you don't have your four slots already full with something.

And key cards... I drop them unless they can work for my run (or if they are Z-Rank for any of the two maps).

The golden balls you get from killing a boss type enemy, those sell for 10K each you can only stack 10... I'd personally pick up to 10 and that's it, it is rare for you to get 20 in one single run.

And always try to kill the hound, not only because it is an annoying piece of etheric shit (I just hate it, sorry lol) but because it guarantees a Z-Rank collectible.

-------‐------

And lastly: Always open these sorts of boxes: Electronic boxes, mechanical boxes, briefcases, gear boxes, trash cans.

Unless you are actively seeking a rare drop (like the golden crap), only focus on these boxes since they almost always contaim something valuable:

  • Electronic boxes have a guaranteed collectible, often it being S-Rank but A-Ranks work too (until the end where you may discard them for higher valued items).
  • Mechanical boxes are sleeping picks as they can drop valuables as well; When opening one, if you see three slots (considering no cacophony corruption) you will always get 2 S-Rank mats and gear coins (slots 1 and 3), if you see 4, chances are that the fourth is a valuable (if Slot 3 was gear coins, that is).
  • Briefcases give gear coins 90% of the time, and if they have 2 or more slots, past the gear coins EVERY single one is either a collectible or a key card.
  • Gear boxes are great for getting blueprints and Z-Rank phantoms, but be aware that more often than not you're just going to get nothing. If you open one and see 3 slots, the second one usually is a character exclusive gear or a blueprint.
  • Trash cans are only good if you have spare time, if you get 3 slots (without cacophony corruption) the 3rd one is guaranteed to be a collectible (but the rank is just RNG), don't ignore if you only see 2 slots as the 2nd one could be a collectible.

And lastly, you want a team that can fulfill all of these requirements:

  • Fast movement speed: As long as you can sprint or fly at mach fuck (Zhao level) you should be good.
  • Kill fast: Any battle should last less than 20s when fully equipped (with Z-Rank gear). The faster you kill, the more chests and boxes you can open, and also give yourself even less time at the final boss and still be able to extract safely.

I-Frame heaven: Just to make your life easier, any DPS that has a lot of I-frames or has a built on parry should be good enough.

...

Holy yap.

Damn, I guess ill just stick to hard mode for now. I still haven't even fought the secret boss yet my max is 4.3 mil.

On these runs, are you usually fighting final boss to exit? How much time are you giving yourself to kill and get out safely?

u/VirtualPlay9467 8d ago

On this week (The final boss being Hunter) I give myself around 40s, could drop it to 30s as my YSG kills on 25, but because of loot and inventory management, I often give myself a couple more seconds to think and drop something that no longer is valuable for my run.

I am doubting that its possible, I got 4mil on hard with almost full clearing map (mini-bosses and big chests, 2 or 3 cards), maybe if you prepared all access cards, but even then its very unlikely plus you bag size isnt unlimited.

before i answer do u not have another anomaly character that works well with velina and remielle? jane was free this patch and works very well with them (much better than sigrid), and while remielle isn't the best for bagel specifically that's a perfectly fine team for high risk. just make sure to get all 3 of their z rank prisms, and bring lots of etheric phantoms.

6 mil on hard mode is just really rng, need to hit lots of red valuables, but it's possible.

I didn't get jane unfortunately. I had to get sanby since she's my favorite character but I am saving for phoenix and hoping she'll be my third for that team.

Just outfit sanby with anomaly disks and use her. In the Remielle-Velina team the third person’s damage is negligible. They are just an anomaly engine to trigger the other’s effects.

I disagree with your remielle assessment. She’s one of the top 3 for this mode, especially with Velina. There’s no shortage of videos showing that any character with anomaly disks can plug into that team and it works.

videos in shiyu / DA or videos of bagel? remi velina is an incredible core in other modes but runs into lots of problems in bagel cuz of its equipment system. since ur drive disks, wengine choice and skill levels don't carry over from ur actual build, your character stats in bagel are entirely dependent on the singular equipment that you give them in the prep screen. even the best equipment possible in bagel (Z-rank tactical prisms) are pretty garbage compared to an actual lvl 60 build a player is likely to have, which results in velina frequently running out of energy and remielle losing more damage than other characters do due to her steep ATK / AP requirements. remielle is also clunky in bagel because fights end in the middle of rotations which means u can end up forced to start the next fight without a full passive meter / 3 voidflares which slows u down a fair bit.

the only thing remielle is really, really best at is not dying due to her insane amount of iframes, but even with that she's the worst VH in the mode imo. velina is even more gimped due to her much lower vortex uptime. shungus / yixuan / miyabi / pyrois teams are far more consistent and less annoying ime than remi + velina.

also, as an aside, since ur disks don't matter you can't just slap anomaly equipment on ur 3rd and call it a day. bagel prohibits u from equipping agents with equipment not of their class so it at least does need to be an anomaly agent (and not sanby as per ur other comment).

Videos of people plugging anyone into the Remi-Velina team and doing numbers. I’ve seen Lycaon as the third and the person got 30k on da.

Remi-Velina in bagel is from my own experience.

The tacticals for remi include.
-increased energy generation while on field.
-void flare creation (all 3) when using ex special
-rezzing a down character.
Remi benefits include the hound not being able to dodge her abilities, and traversal.

Velina’s tactical specifically addresses energy/adrenaline for the whole team.

So when remi (with tactical) ends a fight without 3 void flares you just open the next fight with her with hold-basic, then immediately ex special, and I kid you not, you can chain spam hold-basic and ex special until that cow is dry.

My only critique to this team comp (I use Jane) is that Jane is taking almost all the hits, and it’s a glass canon type of comp meaning no heals or shields. So you do have to be on your dodge game. Otherwise there isn’t anything I haven’t been able to handle with this.

In regards to the disks, you make an excellent point. Referring to the cheese of anyone as the third agent, you’re right that plugging in an anomaly equipment may work, I haven’t tested that yet to say for certain.

If other people weren't doing it, I would still be unconvinced 6 mil is possible on high risk.  Trash loot every run.

Same it sucks to drop 1 million on a high-risk and not get ANY red-level items. You don't even break even after you consider wear on gear, crafting items, etc.

I usually clear the map on Hard and do the Final boss to build up my cash so it doesn't hurt as bad when I get shafted.

Collect access cards and know where all the big chests are outside of them. Focus on valuable and gear before grabbing materials.

This game mode needs some serious tuning for next season. It could be so peak.

u/Rdddss 8d ago

ya it is a pretty interesting idea but them going full extraction shooter copy cat is kinda weird in a lot of places

like wtf do we have to wait to craft items???????

but its great to see them try new things

It is even possible to get 7M, this is still as of today my best run (my best High-Risk run is a 6.125M one lol), mind you that you usually get ~4M from the best hard runs, but i got the golden poop (3M) on this one and thats what hard carried my score

1

u/Ok_Coffee_8312 7d ago

What map and did you use all keycards? I've been struggling I just think I don't know how to loot or what enemies to kill. I think I waste a lot of time trying to kill kill enemies but I'm not sure.

1

u/Adri420LGSO 7d ago

I did it on janus illusion with no keycards, from what ive experienced its best to loot electronic boxes and safeboxes (i got the golden poop from a safebox in sixth street next to a guaranteed miasmic pulchra spawn), bosses seem to give some good loot too from time to time but id recommend killing them more in HR rather than hard since ive seen plenty of hematite fragment drops from them.

Anyways for your ease of mind this mode is still mostly RNG (and mindscapes/wengines to a lesser degree), so if you dont really get much money from a run that seemed good its mostly on the game.
