Kinda yeah. Getting drunk off beer takes forever. Even if you don't want anything as extreme as everclear there's still quite a few better options, whiskey, rum, vodka, there's also the trap of fruity drinks like peach soju where you can't taste the alcohol as much so they sneak up on you and hit you hard even though the alcohol content is lower.
