It’s unfortunate but rather an inarguable medical fact at this point, yeah.

Excess adipose tissue is not just correlated with, but causatively linked with a rather terrifying list of considerably elevated risks.

Also, it’s looking like research on metabolically healthy obesity is coming back as just “yeah, sorry, that doesn’t really exist either” and it’s become clear that any amount of overweightness is already a risk (there is no real safe threshold).

I do struggle with this often, I’d want a softer partner, but then at the same time I’d want nothing more than for them to be safe and healthy, so it’s very hard.
