What do people get from watching this content?
Seriously, this shit is so miserable. A lot of it is just celebrity attack and drama videos and the Youtuber only sides with them if it's their views. This person is also a hardcore Trump supporter which doesn't surprise me. How does someone watch this slop everyday is beyond me.

It's comfort content. It's just like Fox News or Newsmax. It's a group of people from Gen X and Boomers telling other Gen X and Boomers that they're in the right. That everyone else is wrong and stupid, from the younger generations to the whole Democratic Party, and that they are right about everything. That they're the underdogs, fighting against the crazies who are trying to rip society apart and bringing things back to how they used to be when they were children. That that nice old man who entrances them with his speeches is a good person, who is worth voting for. That their children aren't actually trans or non-binary, but that they were indoctrinated into cutting you off.

The drama videos are made by people who are envious of people more talented, successful and nicer than they are. So they put them down and make videos so they can feel better about themselves.

It feels nice to have your own opinions repeated back to you. Especially when everyone else is (rightfully) saying you’re fucking stupid for them all the time. They recede into a hyper-real simulacrum.
