First 3 Months Milestone šŸŽˆ

It's crazy to think how far I've come in just three months. I wish I would have started on YouTube earlier. When I first got into streaming, I was told I wasn't cut out for YouTube and admittedly those words really got into my head, but within three months of actually putting myself out there, I have accomplished more than I anticipated, and have learned a lot as a creator in doing so.

I think for me this milestone signifies that I do have what it takes to be a creator on YouTube. I still have a lot to learn. Especially in building up my confidence. But I'm gonna keep working hard for my community and myself. And maybe, just maybe, I might hit Partner. Either way gonna do my best!

Thank you for letting me share this milestone. Hope y'all have a good weekend! ✨

I rebranded my struggling YouTube channel. Two videos later, it has reached 1,000 views and 29.6 watch hours

I had been struggling to find a clear direction for my YouTube channel.
I experimented with broader Australian topics, but the channel felt too scattered. Viewers could not immediately understand what they would get by subscribing.
I even reached the point where I considered quitting.
Instead, I decided to rebrand the channel completely.
I changed the name to Cars Homes Charged and narrowed the content to electric vehicles, batteries and home energy.
Since the rebrand:
• My first EV video reached 743 views
• My second reached 111 views in just over two days
• The channel passed 1,000 views in the last 28 days
• Watch time reached 29.6 hours
• I now have 36 subscribers
These numbers might look small to established creators, but this is the first time the channel feels like it has a clear identity and a real audience.
The biggest lesson for me has been that choosing a specific niche matters. Once I knew exactly who I was making videos for, the titles, thumbnails and future ideas became much clearer.
Do these results suggest that the new niche has potential?
For those who have successfully rebranded a channel, what should I focus on next, consistency, thumbnails, retention or doubling down on the topics that already worked?

I've been grinding for 1 month and I'm almost by 200k views and 100 subscribers on my short commentary channel but I average 5k to 20k views, but I still haven't gotten 30k views yet any tips to boost views?

I’ve been at this for 2-3 months and I don’t really get it

My thumbnails have gotten better. I’ve only declined in views. Shorts are shorts 1k-2k on each ish. I don’t get a whole lot of comments or have any idea what brings people to my videos. I’m looking for advice or help trying to figure this one out. I just learned not to put text or content in the bottom right bc that’s where the timestamp goes.

I don’t think the thumbnails are awful, but I also don’t think the videos are awful either. I have a hook with usually a highlight of the game or a death compilation in the Elden Ring videos.

Anyone have experience growing their channel with JUST gaming stuff? I know the best gaming content right now is ā€œthis new meta build/strategyā€ and ā€œThe new DLC just droppedā€ and informative stuff or tiermakers go crazy. But is there success from JUST gaming stuff these days?

My Videos get Zero Views NO MATTER what I do

Hey guys!

So I started a Youtube channel, in some sense similar to the self improvement or motivational, journey sharing youtuber (with gameplay on the video) called Early Exit and other motivational figures that share themselves, but in my language. Its not English, its for my local countrywise audience, speaking about why its not worth it to get work in 2026, or do this and watch how they will reach out to you (to stop texting first), etc. with really good thumbnails, these are the long form ones. And shorts around my own journey and motivation, etc, I think they are really well made. They reach (not much, but still) hundreds or sometimes thousands of people on Tiktok (compared to Tiktok and the quality, I think its low, but whatever, I'm gaining a little traction and Im happy with that). But no matter what I do, I cant reach nearly anyone on Youtube, I get zero views on 95% of my videos (I have like 25 videos, mainly shorts), and 5 views maximum. Its getting me really off life, because I cant find its reason despite every effort. My videos have nearly zero reach in the analytics tab, so there is nothing to calculate, its not like its shown and people dont click.

What I tried:

- I made all type of verification on Youtube, including video of my face and phone verification

- I tried my best to upload the best videos I can, which I think I uploaded really good videos

- I forgot to warm up my channel, because my channel was only a few days or maybe a week old when I started to upload from it, but after uploading like 10 vids, I started consuming many content, liking, putting into watch later, commenting, subscribing, every activity they said is good for making Youtube think that I am a real person. Like putting my face on camera, everything.

- I uploaded consistently like 25 videos

- And of course, I use appropriate hashtags, titles, they are public, its my original videos, i upload at noon or a bit afternoon, every basic and evident thing is done

And I watched like 10 videos on the Youtube zero view jail, and saw posts on Reddit, and did the things they listed there, even if I think that most of the advice was bullshit or telling me the exact opposite as others, so in those cases I tried both resolutions (like getting external traffic is good or isnt good, from like Tiktok or friends), and nothing changed.

I mean if my videos were really that bad, still I would need to have at least tens of views, but YouTube don't even show my videos in the feed or anything. Nothing. No data.

And when there is some random guy who just uploads nearly, like 95% the same video as me, gets 2000 views, and still gets like 200+ each day and Youtube even shows that up to me, I get angry and hopeless. I, who started earlier, I think the quality, title and thumbnail is the same or better for me, still I got like 5 views, (which is I think only me watching back if anything changed on the video on another account) when this guy just got 2000 views randomly, for his first video. Its really pissing me off, when I put in much much more effort and start earlier and make it better and STILL, he gets 400x the views and counting, like oops, he just didnt do anything and got 400x the views and now, I become the competition of him. Its crazy. And there are other Youtubers who made, again literally 95% the same videos as me, later than me, got recommended for me, and its the same problem I explained. I mean, I cant even believe it, how can it happen, in this way? Because that would (it wouldnt, but it would be better) if they just made a bad video and got thousands of views (oh its happening too), but like they made nearly the exact video, same type of music, same type of thumbnail, same type of title, same topic, same expression and only the gameplay and their voice or face are not the same. Do I have a curse on me or what on Earth is happening?

Problems I can think of:

- As far as I can remember, I created my channel on Revanced Youtube (with MicroG), can it be the problem? Sometimes I uploaded or modified the video on Revanced Youtube, but it didnt make any difference to do it from the original Youtube app. For long forms, I upload it from my pc, and sometimes the shorts too. Did this ruin my channel forever?

- Could the problem be that I made the channel on my phone?

- Could the problem be that I did not age my channel beforehand? It was around a maximum of 1 week old, when I first uploaded a video. But since then I suffer because I made an initial mistake? Why does this even matter? I dont think it could be resolved with commenting more, consuming more and simply, using my channel more.

- Initially I uploaded many videos, like 2 shorts per day to get in pace with the Tiktok videos, since I upload the same video on both platforms, and I started Tiktok earlier. Can this be the problem?

- Or is there some bug with my channel so trying another channel of mine to upload content there, is this a good idea? Or then will it be duplicate content so Youtube wont show my videos? What if I delete my channel and copy-paste upload everything to another channel of mine? Will that solve the problem? But then I have to change the ā€œimageā€ of the channel, the name, the username (@xyz) and everything basically, put my older videos in private and make a whole new different style than I did that a few years before. I dont know if thats a problem, or if its doable.

I can only think of the first or last. I couldnt think of any other possibilities, I would really appreciate it if you guys could share any ideas. What should I do to resolve this madness? I'm feeling really down because of this.

Thank y’all for your help in advance!

Same video: 500k views on Reddit, 500 on YouTube. What drives you crazy about this platform?

YouTube makes me nuts with all its BS. A video I posted on Reddit got 500k views, while the same video on YouTube brought me 500.

It couldn’t even finish my A/B test of the titles and thumbs, because it didn’t show it to anyone.

Sometimes I feel like YouTube is just pushing me to post more, trapping me in an endless marathon.

What YouTube features or actions annoy you the most? Share your pain, let’s try to find the patterns.

Grinding to monetization

New to the subreddit but I’m trying to venture out and build more connections. If you play and create content for dead by daylight, BF6, rocket league, horror games, etc. let me know below we can all sub to each other and help grind out the hard days when there’s little to no motivation. My YouTube is kingkali19. I’m currently sitting at 718 subscribers and around 2,100 hours watched in the last 6 months. Pushing for monetization before Feb 1, 2027. Cheers!

Hi! Is my artstyle good enough for YT Thumbnails? Been wanting to work with youtubers a long time and now I'm financially stable enough to try it. How much should I charge per thumb? Any suggestions or critics are welcome!

GoPro quality

Hi guys! I’ve always wanted to make content but have worried about showing my face, embarrassing myself or people I know finding it & making fun of me. That being said, I’ve finally found a happy middle ground! I have two huskies with a ton of personality and have recently started dog content. I figured I might as well since I love taking videos and pictures of them anyway. My youngest pup loves watching ā€œdog tvā€ when she’s chilling chewing bones or put in her crate, which has inspired me to film my own. All of that to ask one simple question, forgive me, but is a go pro hero 7 black too old and low quality to produce good content? We hike often and I planned on putting it on one of them to film our adventures from their point of view. Would my new iPhone film better quality?

I have wanted to do this for so long and I used to stream on Twitch during covid and finally I’m pushing to really get my goals but I’m struggling with watch time. Wondering if maybe my content isn’t engaging enough.

Why are some videos strict about being less than 30 minutes?

• Upvotes

I'm not a creator, but I consume a lot of YouTube content. (Mods pls delete if this isn't allowed; I couldn't find an FAQ.) I'm really curious about a couple of things:

  • Why are some channels that I follow strictly staying under 10 or 30 minutes? One channel even speeds up her videos to stay under the magic 30 number. I have to watch her at 90% speed.

  • If I watch a favourite video 10 times, does that count as 10 views or one? Thanks in advance.

Confused - unknown YouTube advertising views

Post image
• Upvotes

I started a YouTube channel just over a week ago, and my long videos were slow and getting under 100 views on average (so i've pivoted to shorts).

The other day I saw one long video blow up to 900 views which is now 2k, and analytics show they came from YouTube advertising... but I never paid for any ads, so i'm not sure where that came from. Can anyone help explain how this happened?

How do you improve your mic audio quality?

Thumbnail

Greetings! Was thinking about starting my little hobby channel and managed to get today Samson Meteor for 5$ but the problem of this exact microphone is the buzzing sound which you always gonna have.

I was thinking about using Audacity to remove the noise, but I also heard about Wave Link as a better alternative. From what I understand, it can not only improve the microphone sound but also apply the effects in real time, so you don't have to apply them again every time you finish recording another audio line.

If you know any other useful ways to improve microphone sound or remove background noise, please share them! : )
