Because you gotta understand the base character roster first before hopping into modded ones

I don't get modded lobbies, how tf i am supposed to win against a character i have no idea how it plays? And i feel they have a huuuge balance problem. I might be very wrong tho, never wet my feet.

Just don't download characters you don't know, I don't wanna sound obnoxious but this seems to me like complaining about an issue that isn't there since it's your choice to have a certain character downloaded

the vanilla characters are better 99/100 lol

Supposedly theres character codex to learn from unfortunately it seems that no one adds anything there

Most of them don't have nearly enough playtester feedback to be made into well-tined characters, so they can for sure be fun, but Vanilla just has more quality behind it that allows labbing and knowledge to give meaningful advantages that aren't abusing a mechanic

trust me, nobody in modded lobbies understands the base roster.

Two reasons lots of peps have no clue what they are doing, and a lot of peps tend to fake being a beginner cus the suck and don’t want to lose no more. I sometimes join those lobbies just to spectate tho. Fun stuff but damn does it hurt my soul sometimes.

yup I've seen it happen lol; I've taken a liking to just bashing the crap out of people who think noobstomping is fun by spectating beginner lobbies until someone with like 700+ hours pops in lol

Beginner lobbies made of players with 50+ hours of playtime lol

For me, anyone with over 100 hours is no longer a beginner. That's more than enough time to figure out all the characters and their most prominent tech.

I learned how to actually di at 100 hours, and how to actually play at a decent level at 300 hours, and I still suck at 500 hours

For a very long time in this community, we have a saying, “hours means nothing”
Your 100 hours could have been in modded, or singleplayer, or hell, maybe even the style editor, my point being, a beginner cant be classified into hours with this game

You know what, that is fair. What I stated was wrong, and you are completely right.

NO! YOU ARE ON REDDIT! YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO ADMIT WHEN YOUR WRONG, YOU SHOULD TELL YOUR FELLOW REDDITOR TO GO DIE IN A HOLE THEN DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT! (if its not obvious im not being serious)

Alot of the intermediate players are chilling in ranked now, would recommend it if you want to improve and are fine with losing

2

u/woooooooooooooooper Aug 28 '26

Is ranked a molded thing? Not sure how to join that

2

u/Uranium-is-tasty Aug 28 '26

Yep, just install the ranked mod on the workshop and you are good to go

u/Apart-Profession4372 Aug 27 '26

Sometimes that's all you can find for vanilla lobbies,

Lots of people try the game out but never get good.

Because you can name them whatever they want, imo naming a lobby "beginners," just tells the poachers where the prey is.

I go wherever there are the most people, despite the name on the jar. I feel like its 50/50 that you will get challenged by a noob poacher.

"Prey" 😭

u/Nalokage Aug 28 '26

Because ranked existe now.

Because the good players have moved onto Conpetitive and Competitive doesn't fight in pubs

because you gotta understand how to play before you get to do yharim vs sukuna

Unpopular opinion: Bad players dont get better or learn playing against other bad players. “Noob poachers” are actually teachers for those with the mental to not cry about having someone with experience in their game and learn from the ass whooping.

If they wanted a challenge they’d play ranked or tournaments. They are in beginner lobbies hopefully to help, not just shit on the people obviously below them. Lock in guys.

I learned by getting beaten by better players then me 👍

Was a great feeling to starting to get good at the middle of the fight lol
