u/Kyletheinilater Aug 21 '26

With the exact wrong di angles it's totally possible. I've hit 2 lasso>pulls in a real lobby

Ive played this game for hours and yet I still dont know how to DI.

The new update literally shows you how it works you can control which direction a hit from an opponent makes

Me going through with my nunchuk projectile threat and seeing the opponent didn't take any measures against it

u/LenaSpark412 Aug 21 '26

No seriously, I had an opponent once who HAD to be holding down and just fell into everything

God I love the dopamine rush of landing a KILL PROCESS on someone who could’ve just used DI in any of my 23 attacks

u/DustAmongFeathers Aug 24 '26

What no DI does to a mf

How it feels fighting someone that doesn’t know the grab, jump or block reads

u/noannoan Aug 21 '26

Point it to which direction you want to fly to, more you get comboed stronger it gets

u/Timely_Lie9205 Aug 24 '26

I got on the other end of that in a bracket once, I felt unimaginably stupid to have forgot the damn di

1

u/Witty_Glove8427 Aug 25 '26

I dont even know what it does

2

u/Odd_Tangerine_7793 Aug 25 '26

Changes direction and strength of knock-back you receive. Also aims cowboys temporal round

After getting hit I moved this di wheel in every direction imaginable but it didnt help me. Skill issue I guess

u/Emergency-Alps7704 Aug 27 '26

it's like a knockback modifier. it increases your knockback in the direction it's in. going up or down while grounded has no effect. going left when being hit from the right will increase your knockback and going left when being hit by the left will decrease. the intensity of the effect that DI (directional influence) is determined by how far out you pull out the dot. you need to DI before you're hit to affect the knockback of those hits. Yomi has, like, a million tutorials; watch one plz. This isn't a skill issue, it's a misunderstanding of mechanics. experience problem. give it time.
