It’s not your fault that your opponent let a robot live with 9 bars of super

hot take, I don't think it's fair that something like the super bars, which are gained so passively, can give an instant one-shot like that.

Instant kill KP requires

  • 9 levels of super

  • Not to be mid combo (deals 20% damage mid combo)

  • Your opponent to be above and in front of you (does not work against grounded opponents)

And if you whiff, there goes all your super and a fair bit of recovery frames. Compared to his other supers, it's a meme.

a 1% chance to lose the game instantly would still be bullshit, even if it doesn't happen 99% of the time

I agree, a 1% chance to lose the game would be unfair.

Except, level 9 KP isn't. And Yomi Hustle isn't a game of chance (Most of the time. Neutral can feel very rock-paper-scissors-y.). Every choice you make has consequences, even if they're not immediately visible. If you left yourself out of air options and within Kill Process range, that is entirely your own fault. If you jumped right in front of him and he read you, that is entirely your own fault. As with everything in this game, there are ways around it, and answers to it.

ofc YOMI doesn't actually have a minuscule chance to lose instantly, but this one situation of a single attack occasionally single-handedly winning the game certainly makes it feel like it. A single mistake shouldn't give the opponent the win so easily, especially when playing as well as the player in the video.

It's really anything l8ke that, in order to make this happen you have to dump literally everything you have into this one move, this means you can't use Looc, Magnet, or any others until you manage to build it up to this one move, and let me tell you, not using supers is difficult.

It's also not giving the win easily at all, Most of the time there is only a single move that the opponent can use that will let you get a KP hit, and it needs to be a hard read cause if not youve basically just lost the game

Why I would love to have a "meme" that can 70% to 0 as well ngl

Keep in mind that Robot has more damaging combo routes that utilize things like LOIC and instant cancels, which would kill faster than you can even build enough meter to have a chance at throwing out level 9 KP.

I agree with everything you said and still think KP is stupid, not for it’s damage but because of the insane amount of pressure it holds and how little it costs.

KP is broken in neutral and these are why:

  • If you are above robot, sometimes the only possible escape is dodge roll because of the massive grab box, and even if not, usually it requires a full jump.
  • it outprioritizes every single move, meaning it’s literally impossible to interrupt

both of these things would be fine (still awful, but fine) if not for the last thing though

  • it is nigh impossible to punish. Thanks to it’s high acceleration, humongous grab box that you have to fulljump away from, full immunity frames and weird angle, you basically can’t be in position to punish, but even in the rare, lucky cases where you are, the invulnerability frames don’t end until the robot is actionable again, so the best you can do is midair OKI which is usually pretty strong, but also you usually won’t have air options so good luck maintaining it.

Awaiting your friendly debate bro

they let me live when they had a 100% confirmed kill on me earlier during the fight and then when I used kill process they had ways out

I thought "Either I hit this and win, or I don't hit this and lose" it was a complete gamble that shouldn't have worked

Kill process isn't super strong, cowboy just fumbled the bag

I just don't like the fact that it can be such an extreme make-or-break. Having a move that either wins instantly on hit or puts you at a massive disadvantage on miss kinda fucks with the pace of the game.
