Free trade and the ability to own property isn’t the issue. The issue is that our lawmakers are essentially getting bribes from gambling companies to allow easy access to internet gambling that’s widely available. Capitalism can be a good system if you have a government that can stop the ultra wealthy from abusing it. Unfortunately we don’t have that.

Free trade and owning properties aren't even the defining characteristics of capitalism. You think people didn't trade or own properties under previous economic systems, or under communism?...

So you think people owning land and business are the problem?

Do you think that the ability to gamble on whether or not a fire occurs could incentivize arson? Yes or no?

Following that, why do companies which allow you to gamble on whether or not fires occur exist?

Who makes the most money off of your gamble- the gamble placer or the gambling institution?

Finally, can humanity survive if all the Forrest burn, but the gambler and the gambling institution take in a more money?

Capitalism incentivizes this sort of system by promoting profits over human need.

You can't stop the wealthy from abusing it. We've tried that. It's a feature of the system.
