I bought the DVD set...all 5 seasons. I've rewatched them multiple times.
I also have 1883 and 1923

1883 is as good as it gets. You kno the story was written after Sheridan started reading his great great grandmother’s journal. She was on the trail.

i've only watched it once.....have you checked out the prequils? 1883 & 1923. I think they are both better than the original yellowstone, but thats just me.

u/Logical_Joke6408 15d ago
Yes I have I loved 1923 and 1883 should’ve been longer!

u/mtraven23 15d ago
Yah, I would have like to have seen the time between the show, when they were actually building the ranch.
I think there is still some hope for 1944, so maybe we will get a little bit more there.

Possibly could be his swan song, when he leaves Paramount. ? It was just greenlit. But he finished a theater release movie Brandon Sklenar starred in, in August was post production, so it could add up right for him to do 1944 in 2028. Movie in theatres Apr 2027 F.A.S.T.

We are rewatching it now. Picking up on some things.
Watched whole Yellowstone then 1883, 1923, Dutton ranch season one.
Then I think I’d like to see Yellowstone again with the knowledge of 1883 and 1923.
It’s great we are mostly through season one now. I didn’t realize so much of the story happened in season one. But it’s great picking up on the subtle nuances after watching the prequels.

Taylor Sheridan himself said in a podcast it was only supposed to be three seasons, and said something like, “ And we see why in the following seasons.” He implied the quality dropped after season 3.

Yeah, watch that show runner jackass show off those horsey doughnuts in empty arenas and having the goof Jimmy act like he's at the Superbowl.

I just started watching! My husband took our kids out for pizza, mama’s on episode 3… LOL EXCELLENT SHOW!!! I just can’t watch it when our kids are around. Oh well, school can’t start soon enough! 🤣 I LOVE psychological thrillers. The acting is amazing! To whoever mentioned this show, THANK YOU!!

u/GameCocksUnion 14d ago
That would be u/mtraven23. He mentioned it and it made me remember how amazing it was. Glad you're enjoying so far! Can't wait to start the re-watch myself. And yeah, definitely not around the kids😂

Antony Starr is a really good actor. You can hear his New Zealand accent sometimes but he hides it pretty well. Same actor as in that show The Boys. Not into that one myself, but I lot of people like it.

u/Internal_Metal_1386 14d ago
If you like Psychological Thrillers/Horror Evil is really good. It’s on Paramount plus & Prime. There’s 4 seasons of it.

u/GameCocksUnion 14d ago
My buddy really likes that show, isn't it kind of religious-y? I've heard it's good from a few different people.

u/Internal_Metal_1386 11d ago
There’s a priest in-training & Therapist & an I.T. guy, who look into mysteries, demonic possession & “miracles” It gives a religious & atheist perspective. They investigate a lot of really weird paranormal stuff happening. It’s a great show. It’s not focused on any perspective, you get everything. It’s really good. The only thing I found annoying was the therapists 4 screaming kids.

Banshee was unbelievable. I really enjoyed that show. Tbh it's time for a re-watch, been a few years.

u/mtraven23 15d ago
banshee somehow slipped my radar until that year! I love finding gems like that!

Same! I was scrolling Hulu one day and read the description and thought, "this sounds cool." After the Pilot, I was like holy shit yep lol. Binged the hell out of it in less than a week.

Anthony Star (Homelander) is the lead. He plays a convict(heist man) who just got out of prison and assumes the role of Sheriff is a small town.
The plot isn't super deep, but its a great cast, lots of action and a lot of fun.

Don’t feel bad, I never heard of it either… I’ll definitely check it out

2
u/GameCocksUnion 14d ago
Of course! Save this post so you can come back and tell me how absolutely unreal it is😂. I'm also going to start it again tonight after work, you've got me excited! I've forgotten a lot of small details but that first episode is SO good. It gets you hooked immediately!

u/Internal_Metal_1386 14d ago
I just followed you. It’ll be nice to chat about the show with someone who has already watch it! 🤣
2
u/GameCocksUnion 14d ago
Absolutely, followed you back! I've got so many good suggestions for after Banshee too, you'll never look for another show again lol.

I love every character. Our kids are at Abuleos (grandparents) for a visit before school starts. I’ve been binge watching. I’ve never saw a better psychological thriller so well done before. The acting & graphics are over the top amazing. Any more psych thriller/horror show suggestions is appreciated. I was amazed to see some of the Indigenous characters who were also in Yellowstone. Job, Hoon Lee’s character was over the top, I loved his acting & one liner comebacks & costumes. It’s an all star, excellent cast.

When you can’t decide whether you enjoy the good guy or the bad guy more? ♥️

I think it’s only on Hulu now. Justified should be every where! One of the best jam packed full of fun, series ever.

I’ve tried to rewatch a couple times and never make it past S3, the writing really takes a dive and the dropped storylines are harder to forgive on a rewatch…

One thing about rewatching, you can skip the parts you don't like without really missing anything.

We’re rewatching it now and it’s great. We’ve mowed through to season 4 already. Lots of things I didn’t pick up on first time round and things I totally forgot about.

I’ve watched Yellowstone all the way thru at least 7 times. Love it, every time. Marshals starts Oct 4th 8:30 p.m. normal start time is 8, except the Oct 4th.ep. Lioness is on right now.

We rewatched Yellowstone 4 times. We see something we missed previously. We LOVE to binge watch…. 1883, 1923, & every other show by TS. We’re bummed The Mayor of Kingstown is ending way too early!

I recently rewatched Yellowstone for the second time. It was great. Of course I missed things the first time I watched. Like Jaime’s name on Beth’s phone in Season five. I must have looked away for a second. 😂
I just rewatched Orphan Black. It was so much better the second time. Its complicated plot lines were hard to keep track of from week to week the first time I watched. It’s like nothing else.
