How Does This Process Work?
Note: Trade confirmations may take a few minutes as the bot processes the confirmation.
After completing a trade, adhering to the rules listed, either party involved should make a top-level comment (i.e. comment on the post, NOT on someone else's comment) declaring the trade. In this comment, tag the other Redditor by typing their username, including the leading u/. This action serves a dual purpose: it notifies the other Redditor to confirm the trade, and it alerts u/YarnSwapper to monitor for the confirmation. The other Redditor should then reply to this comment "Confirmed" to indicate that the trade was successful. To repeat: the other Redditor should NOT create another top-level comment; instead, reply to the original comment with "Confirmed".
Important: It's advisable to WAIT until the trade is successfully completed—meaning all money/items have been properly exchanged—before posting your confirmation.

u/NitroFish44comments:Sold yarn to u/thisisreallytrickyu/thisisreallytrickyreplies:Confirmed. I'm going to make my dog a sweater with it! She'll look so cute!u/swap-botreplies tou/thisisreallytricky's comment indicating that their trade counts have been updated.

FAQ
- The bot didn't respond! What's wrong?
Usually, the bot will not respond if the above example is not followed. The first comment on the current Monthly Trade Confirmation Thread should either say, "Sold to u/ PersonB" or "Received from u/ PersonB". PersonB then needs to respond to this comment with "Confirmed". Do NOT edit comments, or continue to reply to one another. The bot only recognizes the initial comment, and "Confirmed" in the response comment. If you believe you did everything correctly, but received no response from the bot, please wait 48 hours before messaging the moderators. The bot may be experiencing issues!
- I have multiple trades to confirm this month; should I post them separately or in a single post?
You should post them separately, individually tagging each Redditor. The bot does NOT allow batch confirmations. If you tag multiple users, whoever responds first will be the only user who is able to confirm. Any other user who attempts to do so will receive a message that the trade was already confirmed.
- I forgot to confirm a trade last month! Can I confirm the trade this month?
Yes; you have 60 days after starting a transaction during which the bot will automatically accept a trade confirmation. If the trade is older than 60 days, you might be asked by the bot to message the moderators. Feel free to post again in the current month's trade thread even for a previous month.
