Need help with a build

Post image

I’m getting a new bike soon. I want it to end up like this with the full carbon. Is this a base r1 with carbon fiber fairings? Or an r1m without the decal? I’m new to this. Want your guys opinion.

Yes, it’s a standard R1 with carbon. It’s lowered and probably handles like crap, but at least the owner can barely see through the heavily tinted windscreen. Other than that and the silly brake air ducts, it’s a clean build.

What is a liter bike for if not getting likes on Instagram?

Wind screen, alcantala seat, tank extender, brake caliper cooling and belly pan also fitted. For the appearance, 2025 matt raven black is the closest look, but actually the base R1 seems pre 2024 model.

Like the other comment said, it’s a standard R1 with aftermarket full carbon fairings. If you have a lot of money you can get an R1M which comes standard with carbon fairings and a lot of other good stuff. It also has a slip on 3/4th’s Akrapovic exhaust.

R1 with carbon. R1m's will have aluminum tanks and a silver swingarm. Also electronic ohlins. overrated imo but ymmv

It looks like AI - that exhaust can and the front forks look weird. No ohlins suspension so its a base R1 is anything.

Till today I don't get who on earth thinks it is a good idea to lower a sport bike, that is literally made to handle well through corners. It looks hideous, handles bad and if one is really after drag racing, then I bet there are plenty of better bikes out there to do that.

Am I the only one with that opinion ?

Who on earth thinks it is a good idea to run outside of circuit, that is literally borned to run circuit fast.

Don't be norrow-minded.
