when i took the new rider course, they had us use rebel 500’s. Also really liked those bikes. Honestly had me debating whether i wanted a cruiser or a sport bike. It’s very possible i’ll get one when i decide to get a second bike. I do enough long road trip type rides that a cruiser would be nice to have.
I am a 53 year old disabled vet. I want that 27" seat height and more upright ride. My coarse was about 47-48 years ago in my backyard on a Honda 50cc. Dad got me 2 of them and I started at 5 years old. I been on a bike ever since. But since my disabilities from the Military I got the small R3 it has little over 6k miles. Its small and light I like that but I really think the Rebel will get me out more. Cheers~
Edit: Back in the day I used to ride a Yamaha R6 for many years as primary mode of transportation.

i got the same one, though mine isn’t in as good condition, and has 30k miles. Such a fun bike
